God moving you to consider receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
and to follow Jesus Christ on a path that leads to Christian discipleship?
Is God leading you to consider membership at Bethesda United
Methodist Church? Is God calling you to rededicate your life and seek
His will? Do you have a concern for yourself and/or others that you

Youth Announcements – If you’re in middle or high school, come join us in the Bethesda Youth Group (BYG). We generally meet on Wednesday’s from 6:30pm – 8:00pm and Sunday’s from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. Find Scotty or one of the students to learn more about what we do. Become a fan of Pablo – our Facebook Fan Page.
Thanks for all of the cards and notes we received at the passing of my Grandmother, Jake! It means so much to have family and friends support.
A BYG thank you to Jay Heller for hanging the TV in the Pavillion.
For the next 4-5 weeks, Sunday school will be following a series called Courage featuring Francis Chan. Join us for Sunday school and learn from God’s word how to apply biblical principles to your everyday life!
During Wednesday BYG Time on 9/15/10, we will be helping with the Children’s Wesley Walk!
Community Service and Service Projects are coming – be on the lookout for how you can help people in our own community!
The next Open Mic is Friday October 1, 2010.
Around Bethesda UMC…
Membership is More! Membership is more than getting your name on a list. At Bethesda it signals so much – excitement about Christ’s role in your life, commitment to the point that you want to “sign up”, understanding that being a part of the whole makes the whole stronger in some way that only God can truly know. Perhaps you have been worshiping here for a time and are ready to take the next step. If you would like to join Bethesda please let Pastor John know at any of the services or give him a call at 770-921-3753.
Pete Spain went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening. His son was with him at the time. His body was donated to Emory. Thanks to everyone who went out of their way to minister to Pete the short time he was with us.
Thank you to everyone for making this year’s Fish Fry another success. This is really a team effort and we could not pull this off without everyone pitching in. Thanks so much.
Just a reminder to ALL who have kids — the Parenting Sunday School Class meets in the back of the Fellowship Hall (on the window side) from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Carolyn Beaty is leading this class.
CHILDREN’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
Be sure to be on time for Children’s Choir today at 4:30 in the chapel — part sign-ups are today. See you there!
Kids, the Pioneer Club Wesley Walk is THIS WEDNESDAY during Pioneer Club! We will start promptly at 6:30 on the ballfield. All money you have raised is due on or before THIS WEDNESDAY; we’re trying to reach our $900.00 goal. Each child who walks will receive a Wesley Walk T-shirt! (We will not be singing with Mr. Brock this Wednesday). ATTENTION ADULTS we will not have our normal Wednesday night Bible Studies. Instead we ask that you come out and support our children as they walk.
We have been having a GALACTIC BLAST in Sunday School!! Come and join us as we learn more about all that God is doing in our lives and beyond!
Our Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat will be on Wednesday, October 27th! There will not be Wednesday night dinner that night as the Fall Festival will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. WE NEED YOU to volunteer!! We need both Fall Festival volunteers as well as people to decorate their trunks and hand out candy for the Trunk or Treat. Please see or e-mail Katie if you would be willing to volunteer to do one or both! (If you normally participate in Wednesday night activities, then you are the perfect volunteer since you will be there already!) Thanks so much!

This looks great! How did you get it in there?

1. Open the file in Word.
2. Copy into the Wordpress editor using “Insert from Word” button.
3. Centered the traditional service section, except for long paragraphs.
4. Added returns after the staff e-mail addresses.
5. Removed financial data.
I think that was all. You could fiddle with it to make it a little nicer, but this could all be done in a minute or two.

I tried using the theme’s Header1 and Header2 for the sections in the order of worship this week. I think I preferred the normal formatting from Word.
