Membership is More! Membership is more than getting your name on a list.  At Bethesda it signals so much – excitement about Christ’s role in your life, commitment to the point that you want to “sign up”, understanding that being a part of the whole makes the whole stronger in some way that only God can truly know.  Perhaps you have been worshipping here for a time and are ready to take the next step.  If you would like to join Bethesda, please let Pastor Jessica know at any of the services or call at 770-921-3753.

Father-Son Breakfast is Sunday, January 12th at 7:30am in the fellowship hall.  Please make plans to attend.

Young Ladies Night Out – Sunday, January 12th 5:00pm at Sugarloaf Mills at the Food Court.  We will have dinner and a movie together.  Bring your friends.

Thank You – Words cannot express my deep appreciation for the wonderful birthday breakfast you threw me last Sunday.  Your love, friendship, and support these first six months have been a blessing.  I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you and for what you do to make Bethesda the best church it can be for this community.  Love to each and to all.  Pastor Jessica

All Bethesda ladies are invited to come share in this celebration!

They are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond (540998829),Target and Home Depot.
Her favorite color combo is teal & light beige.

‘New’ Podium for the Fellowship Hall!

Be sure to take a look at the ‘new’ Sunday School podium in the Fellowship Hall!

A special thank-you goes out to Wayne Davis for refinishing a podium that he found in one of the closets in the Chapel building. This podium was used as the pulpit in the Chapel for many years; Wayne believes that it dates back to the early 1900’s. Originally it was all stained the dark brown you see on the corner columns. However, over the years the body was painted with many coats of white paint. Finding it near impossible to restore in entirety to the original stained color Wayne chose to re-stain the columns and re-paint the walls of this treasure. He reinforced the bottom and added casters for ease of movement.

While re-finishing this fine piece he came across a yellowed and wrinkled bulletin that was tucked under the raised platform. You can see that Bethesda was busy in ministry in July of 1966!

Just like Wayne has given this Bethesda treasure new life, aren’t we glad that Jesus can renew us and give us new life?

See you at church this Sunday for Worship and Sunday School!
