Please see the email below from the director of the Lawrenceville Co-Op and thanks to everyone who has been bringing in canned goods and praying for our neighbors at the Co-Op:
Your prayers for the Co-Op have been heard. A few weeks ago we were dangerously low on food and funds. August was a record month for assistance given. BUT our God has provided for our needs and is continuing to do so! Please continue to pray for the Co-Op and its faithful volunteers who are devoted to the Lord Jesus. Thank you for your prayers for our clients.

Director

Fact or Fiction?
2nd Membership Class
Lead by Pastor John
We have had several request that we have another 3 week Membership Class on Wednesday night. This class will begin on Sept. 8th at 6:30 in the back of the fellowship hall.
Have you ever wanted to know more about the United Methodist Church and its history? What are our true traditions? What is the history of Bethesda United Methodist Church? How are we helping those around our world?
Why not join Pastor John in a three week course on Wednesday nights to explain our history and membership. We’ll look at our worship and its heritage. We’ll explain Holy Communion and Baptism. Come join us for a time of learning about our Church.

I would like to thank everyone who prayed for my friend during the coffee house service. Caleb has encephalitis and was unresponsive yesterday. Today he opened his eyes and squeezed his brothers hand. He also knows his name! He is not out of the woods by any means but things are looking up! Keep praying! Thanks- Kim Bertram
This coming Sunday is youth creative Sunday. If you haven’t painted a cross for the youth wall, this is the time to do it. You’ll need a canvas to paint on. Paints and brushes are provided. You can get the canvases at Joanns, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby. Any size is fine as long as it’s not enourmous
We will have things to do for those of you that have already painted a cross as well.

It’s time to update our Facebook Fanpage picture and our church website page picture. If you are in the youth group, please make every effort attend youth on Wednesday so we can get you in the Photo! As usual Wednesday youth service is from 6:30 – 8:00.

If you missed Sunday!
Aug 23
If you missed the 11 o’clock worship service this past Sunday, then you need to go on the website and listen to the music. Logan did a fantastic job playing the piano and singing and the Chancel Choir was rocking! It was great singing, Campmeeting style!. Thank you to Logan and to Brock, Kayse, and the Chanel Choir for the way you bless us here at Bethesda every week.
If you would like to be a part of this wonderful Music Ministry, JOIN THE CHOIR. See Brock and he will welcome you with open arms. If you are interested in contemporary music in the 8:45am and 6:30pm services, see Logan Brooks.

Here’s a clip of the Chancel Choir singing “Praise His Holy Name” in the 11:00 AM service. Notice that the choir had to memorize this song so that we could clap our hands along with the music. Easier said than done!
