Trip to Camp Meeting

What a wonderful Thursday we had at the Conyers Camp Meeting.  The music was uplifting, the sermon was soul searching and the down-home cooking was deliciously life-sustaining.  We enjoyed the fellowship as we traveled to and from the meeting.  Eighteen adults and 2 children attended.  Hope more of you can join us on our next adventure.

Please join Bethesda’s Best for a covered dish lunch and a special program on Thursday, June 17th at 12:00 noon.  Judy Rushing, author of “Never Say Never” will be our guest speaker.    Judy was born and raised in New Orleans and has served Snellville Baptist Church for 20 years as pianist and organist.  In 2006, Judy left her home in the United States to begin a new and exciting chapter in her life in Kenya where she served until Feb. 2008.   At that time she was forced to leave Kenya by a extremist terrorist group who learned of her teaching of the gospel and was determined to destroy her ministry.  Judy has an inspiring story to share with us and we hope that everyone will make a special effort to attend this month’s meeting.
